A week in a monastery
My partner and I had decided to spend a week in a monastery, remaining silent for five days. Upon arriving at our chosen place, we were immersed in another time and another life, accompanied by Benedictine Sisters who devote their lives to prayer and to others. I was impressed by their dedication to maintaining in our world the presence of a Christian tradition where the example of the life of Jesus Christ is the model that leads them to give of themselves for a cause that transcends them.

Uranus - From collective to individuation
Uranus is often associated with individualism, manifested by a tendency to radically distinguish oneself from collective norms and to be driven by a need for limitless freedom.
At the same time, Uranus represents a collective ideal with which the individual identifies and by which he goes beyond his own individuality to serve values greater than himself.

Saturn - The path to the essential
Saturn represents a principle of separation, limit and conservation.
It can be said that it seeks to maintain order within defined limits.

Jupiter - The bridge to the soul
At the most general level, Jupiter represents a principle of expansion, while Saturn represents a principle of contraction.
Expansion can be expressed by multiplication, extension or elevation.

Mars - The first movement
Mars first of all represents a movement from the inside out, a momentum, an initiative, an action. As Dane Rudhyar wrote : “Mars leads the way.”
It remains to be seen what the origin of the movement is, what motivates it, as well as its destination.

Venus - The quintessence of life
Venus is usually associated with love, beauty and values.
I suggest we revisit this usual view of the shepherd star by starting with a quote borrowed from Dane Rudhyar: “Venus represents a process of refinement, of extracting the subtle from the gross, the spiritual from the material, in its myriad aspects and modes of operation, at all levels, from the lowest to the most divine.” I will also refer to my personal experience to illustrate some points.

Mercury - The weaver of links
Dane Rudhyar described Mercury as the “Weaver of the Threads of Life.” The Mercurian function can thus connect what has been separated and mend undone connections.
Rather than remaining limited by a fixed interpretation of the past, Mercury can be the intermediary through which new perspectives emerge.

The Moon - The path of life
The interpretation of the Moon as an archetype is a vast subject. I would like to examine it from a particular angle.
After reading Liz Greene on the multiple faces of the Moon, I wanted to compare this vision with that which appears in humanistic astrology and especially in evolutionary astrology.

Introduction to a series of articles about the planets
A series of articles concerning the main planets of the solar system will be published soon on this blog.
The general analysis of planetary symbolism will be illustrated with what each symbol evokes in my personal life.

Why do we live what we are living ?
The aim is not to seek a definitive answer, but rather to suggest that our life has a purpose. The idea I am developing here is that this goal can be described through a story and that in astrological counseling we can contribute to this building of the story of our lives.
